Mediators meet in Clydebank

SCMN members from across Scotland's community mediation services recently met in Clydebank.

Gary McCallum, Senior Mediation Officer at West Dubartonshire Neighbour Mediation Service said afterwards "it was great to see so many fellow mediators come together in Clydebank and contribute to a number of interesting topics including; the expansion of service delivery by a number of providers, mediation in High Hedges disputes and to hear of the great work being carried out by Falkirk mediation service with their referrers and partner agencies. It was also interesting to hear from Graham Boyack, Director of the Scottish Mediation Network on the many projects which are currently on-going within the SMN"

The SCMN (Scottish Community Mediation Network) was established in 1996 and represents all community mediation services throughout Scotland, setting standards and sharing best practice.

The next meeting will be held in Renfrewshire in November.
